APPLE BLOSSOM FESTIVAL, PAYETTE IDAHO
Grand Marshal's: Arden & Julia Steiniker Every year the Payette Apple Festival Committee asks the public to nominate an outstanding citizen in the community as the Grand Marshal. This year we put the request out and were overwhelmed with response Arden and Julia Steiniker were chosen because of their outstanding support of the sports programs in our local schools. They have been fixtures in the community and have been involved in just about every civic organization at one time or another. The Payette Apple Blossom Festival is proud to honor both of these fine people for both the work they have done and the positive influence they have had for the Payette community as a whole.
Jr. Grand Marshal: Gemma Smith was chosen by staff and administration of McCain Middle to be Jr. Grand Marshall of the Apple Blossom Festival Parade. Gemma was chosen for this honor for her many accomplishments and her positive attitude. Gemma is an honor student who takes advanced courses including Geometry (normally a high school class). She is captain of the Academic Bowl team and is a member of the Track team. Gemma works hard at everything she does and keeps a very positive outlook. Gemma has shown outstanding citizenship here at McCain and has been a model of good behavior.
Tonight is the Ice Cream Social down at Central Park under the event tent from 6 until 8 come and enjoy ice cream, cookies, great entertainment, and socialize with everyone. Those who won passes on here you may pick up your passes tonight as we will be announcing the winners. If you cannot attend please give me a call at 642-3435.
